Sometimes the email you send in Blissbook doesn't make it to its intended recipient. You can review a summary of delivery errors by going to your Notification Center.
To resolve a delivery error, click on the associated row in the Notifications Center table to open the Notification Details modal. There you will see the full error and any steps you can take to resolve the error.
š Temporary Issues
A Temporary Issue happens when your email couldnāt be delivered due to short-term or external problems, such as a slow mail server, a temporary network failure, or DNS errors. These errors are typically out of your control and should go away on their own over time.
How to fix
You can try resending the email in Blissbook by clicking "Retry Now" in the Notifications Details modal.
If you see repeated entries for the same person tagged with a Temporary Issue error, check with your IT team to validate that the person's email address is correct and working. Likewise, if you regularly see Temporary Issue errors, notify your IT team so they can diagnose and resolve any general issues.
š« Email Blocked
This means the recipientās email address has been blocked because it caused delivery problems, such as a:
Hard Bounce (invalid or disabled email address)
Spam Complaint (recipient or provider marked your message as spam)
Manual Suppression (email address marked invalid after repeated issues)
In order for Blissbook to send email on your behalf, Blissbook needs to have a good email sending reputation. In order to protect our reputation, Blissbook will not send to blocked emails. You will need to fix the block for the recipient or the recipient will never actually receive emails from Blissbook.
How to fix
You need to work with your IT team to figure out why a particular email address is being blocked. Once you've resolved the issue, you can remove Blissbook's block on the email and try sending the email again in the Notification Details modal.
If this is happening routinely, it's likely a timing issue where employees are added to Blissbook (and sent an invitation email) before they have a valid email address. Coordinate with your IT team to resolve the timing issue.
š Recipient Issues
A Recipient Issue occurs when the recipient has taken an action to prevent delivery. For example:
Unsubscribed from notifications
Updated or forwarded their email address
Hasnāt confirmed their email address yet
Uses a āchallenge/responseā system that blocks unknown senders
How to fix
Contact the email recipient directly through another communication channel (like phone or chat) to resolve the issue. Once you've resolved the issue, you can try sending the email again in the Notification Details modal.
š”ļø Domain Issues
These errors happen when your message is blocked by email security systems. For example:
DNS or DMARC authentication issues
ISP blocks due to content or blacklisting
Invalid āFromā address or unverified domain.
How to fix
Work with your IT department or email administrator to resolve the issue. If your IT team needs technical guidance, please refer them to our help article on Blissbook's Email System. Once you've resolved the issue, you can try sending the email again in the Notification Details modal.
