Blissbook gives you a few ways to export content to Word or PDF, depending on whether you're working with a document or a policy in the Policy Library.

Documents

For documents, you can export:

Export a draft document

From your Home page or Document Library, click the gray down arrow next to the Edit button, then go to Download and choose "Draft Document (.DOCX)" or "Draft Document (PDF)".

Export a published document

From your Home page or Document Library, click the green down arrow next to the green View button, then go to Download and choose "Live Document (.DOCX)" or "Live Document (PDF)".

Export a text section

In the document editor, click the β€’β€’β€’ menu on the section you want to export, then choose "Export to Word". The section will download automatically. Text sections can only be exported to Word, not PDF.

Note: Word exports do not include embedded images or PDF files. They're text-only, with links to those assets. Draft policies also won't be included; publish them first.

Troubleshooting incomplete exports

If your exported document is missing content, check the following:

  • All referenced policies are published. Draft policies will not appear in the export.

  • You selected the correct export option for what you want (draft vs. live, Word vs. PDF).

Policies

To export a policy from the Policy Library, open the policy and click the "Export" button in the top-right of the toolbar.

From the dropdown, choose "Export Content...".

In the Export Policy modal, choose your format (Word (.docx) or PDF) and the version you want to export, then click "Export Policy".

You can export any published version or the current draft; this is handy when you need to share exactly what was in effect at a specific point in time.

If you need a formal audit record instead of a plain export, check out Data Lineage Reports. They include version overviews, review history, and activity timelines in a single PDF.
