See what has changed from one version of a document to another without looking at each individual section's version history

Whether you need a report to send to a lawyer or you just want to see everything that changed all together, you may find yourself in a situation where you want to compare one version of an entire handbook to another to see what's different.

Although Blissbook doesn't have this functionality native, you can accomplish this with a little help from Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word.

It starts with opening the 2 different versions of the document, which you can do here:

Here's what you do after that:

  • Print to PDF each version (go to the MENU circle in the top right, then choose Print to PDF, then click the Print Everything button).

  • Download and then open your PDF files in Adobe Acrobat, then go to File > Export a PDF > Microsoft Word > Word Document.

    • If you don't have Acrobat, do a web search for a PDF > DOCX conversion tool. You'll find a bunch of options!

  • Open one of the new Word docs, then go to Tools > Track Changes > Compare Documents...

  • Pick your two documents, and Word will generate a 3rd document with a diff between the two.

  • On the Review ribbon, open the Markup Options dropdown and unselect "Formatting" to hide most of the formatting redlines you don't care about.

  • That's it! You can scroll through the doc and look for all the changes.
