Exclude people from your HRIS, Payroll, or AD sync

If you have an HRIS/AD integration set up, you can exclude people from your employee list

Written by Diane Marshall

Once your HRIS, Payroll, or AD platform integration is set up, you may see people, users, or accounts in your Employee List in Blissbook that you don't want to sync. You can filter these out via your exclusion list.

Note: You must be an Org Admin or Tech user to do the following.

Open the exclusion list

  1. Go to your People page.

  1. Click the Settings button in the top right.

  1. Click your sync's menu button, then choose Add Exclusion List....

Add filters to your exclusion list

In the drawer that opens, click + Add a filter to choose who you want to exclude.

For example, to exclude people who have a hire date in the future (i.e. you want people added to Blissbook on their hire date), add a Last Hired Date filter and set it to is less than 0 days ago:

Click Done and you're good to go.

Common exclusion filters

Another common filter is to exclude test users. Here's what it looks like when you are excluding anyone with "test" in their email address OR anyone with a hire date in the future:

The last common exclusion is contractors or contingent workers. Add a filter and choose the appropriate field and value to exclude them.
