Blissbook's Policy Library helps you manage, organize, and collaborate on policies. Whether you're importing existing policies, creating new ones, or making updates, the Policy Library streamlines the process to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy.
Our initial goal with the Policy Library is to pull policies out of documents, so they can be:
organized,
collaboratively maintained by your team, and
embedded in multiple documents.
Policies are still distributed to employees through Blissbook's documents. We are working towards allowing direct policy distribution in the future.

1. Import Policies
Bring your existing policies into the Policy Library by:
Importing a single Word document containing one or multiple policies.
Importing multiple Word documents at once.
Converting existing text sections from Blissbook documents into policies.
To ensure a smooth import process, format your Word documents correctly (e.g., using proper heading levels) to optimize content recognition and structuring.
Converting your existing text sections is super easy and undoable, so there is no risk to try out the Policy Library with the content you already have in Blissbook.
2. Organize and Filter
Finding the right policy is effortless with:
Quick Search: Instantly locate policies by name.
Advanced Filtering: Narrow down your list of policies based on in-policy text, owner, last edited date, or custom properties.
Saved Views: Create and share custom views.
3. Collaborate in Real-Time
Enhance teamwork with built-in collaboration features:
Real-Time Editing: See who's making changes and collaborate instantly.
Comments & Suggested Edits: Available exclusively in the Policy Library, these tools allow for seamless feedback.
Review & Approval Workflows: Create a documented history of policy content oversight.
4. Policies can be shared with your audience two ways:
Embed in documents: Add a policy to one or more handbooks/documents. Edit once, publish across multiple documents. Learn how to embed a policy.
Direct Distribution: Give any policy its own standalone policy page with your branding - no document required. Learn how to set up Direct Distribution.
The Distribution column on each policy shows every way it's being shared, including the name of the document and a dedicated icon when Direct Distribution is turned on:
Use Policies in Multiple Documents
Policies can be embedded in one or multiple documents (handbooks). You can:
Add policies directly from the library into existing documents.
Select multiple policies to insert into a new or existing document.
Edit once and publish across multiple documents.
5. Custom Properties & Views
Customize how you view and manage policies with:
Custom fields for categorization, tracking, or metadata.
Flexible property settings, including reordering, hiding, and grouping.
Saved views that allow teams to access the most relevant policies efficiently.

6. Policy Version Comparison
Quickly understand what’s changed between policy updates with side-by-side comparisons:
Visual Diff View: Compare any two versions of a policy with highlighted additions and deletions.
Easy Access: Open the comparison tool from the ••• menu on any policy version in the Policy Library.
Shareable Links: Each comparison has a unique URL, so you can send a direct link to a specific diff for review or approval.
