So you've got a bunch of policies in your policy library, and they're looking good. Let's package them up so they can be distributed to an audience (your employees).

Create a New Document

If you're starting your account from scratch or don't have significant design elements in your brand/documents, the easiest way to package up your policies is to create a new document with your selected policies. Here's how:

1. Organize Your Policies in the Library

When you create a document from a selection of policies, Blissbook wants to embed your policies in the document in an organized fashion. There are a couple things you can do to help.

  1. Create a custom property called "Chapter" or something like that and enter in your policy chapters. When you create a document, you can choose this property to automatically create chapter header sections within the document.

  2. Order your policies in the policy library the way you want them to be ordered within the document. Click the little 6-dot icon on the left that shows up on hover, drag, and drop. You can also select multiple policies at the same time to move.

2. Select the Policies to Embed

If you want everything, click the checkbox in the top left above the grid to select all your policies.

If you don't want everything, check one policy, then hold Shift and click the last policy. This will select all policies in between the two.

3. Create a New Document

Once you have the policies selected, click the ••• button in the bulk action menu and choose "Create a new document".

Name your document and, if you want Blissbook to create chapter headings for you, choose the property you want to use.

All done! Now go into the document and add your other sections, style it, etc.

Embed in an Existing Document

From the Policy Library

If you already have an existing document or documents and you don't want to restyle a new document, it will be easier to:

To bulk embed policies in the document, select the policies to embed, click the ••• button in the bulk action menu and choose "Insert into an existing document".

Choose the document, then click the Add Policies button.

The policies will be added to the end of the document in the order in which they appear in the policy library.

From within a Document

If you're in a document and you want to pull in a policy from your library, just click the + button next to the section above where you want to add your policy, then choose Policies:

You'll see a modal listing all of your policies, where you can choose the ones you want to add by checking them off. Click the policy name to preview the policy.

Pro-tip: Use the Filter to find the exact policy you're looking for!
