When your CSM asks for your content, it might be helpful to send it as one .zip file with your documents sorted into folders. That takes a few minutes on your end and saves a round of back-and-forth about which file belongs where.
What we're asking you for
Three things, and you can send them all together:
Your content. Every document you want to end up in Blissbook, whether that's one handbook or a dozen policy manuals.
Your acknowledgement wording, if you have your own. If you don't, we'll use the Blissbook default and you can change it later.
Your branding. Logo files, fonts, brand guidelines, and any photography you want us to use.
When to zip
If you have a single file, upload it on its own - you don't need a zip.
Zip your files when either of these is true:
You have more than one file.
You have more than one entity, brand, or location with its own content.
Uploading a .zip keeps your folder structure intact, and it arrives as one upload instead of dozens, so nothing gets left behind in a second batch.
Sort your files into folders first
Folder names are what tell us how your content is meant to fit together, so sort before you zip anything.
Use one folder for each document you want to exist in Blissbook, named what you'd call that document, plus one folder for branding. Here's an example of how your files might look, with folders in bold and files underneath:
Acme Corp Employee Handbook
Handbook 2026.docx
Acknowledgement form.docx
Acme Manufacturing Employee Handbook
Manufacturing handbook 2026.docx
Safety appendix.docx

Brand guidelines.pdf
Send one version of each document. If you have a clean copy and a copy full of tracked changes, send the clean one.
If you have multiple entities
When uploading your files, name the entity on anything that applies to that entity.
You may not need separate handbooks at all. Personalized content shows each employee only the parts that apply to them, from one document, and your CSM will walk you through which approach fits your organization. Organize your files the way your content exists today and flag anything you're unsure about.
Create your .zip file
Put all of your folders inside one top-level folder first, named for your company. Zipping that single folder gives you a .zip named after it, instead of a generic Archive.zip.
On a Mac
Put your folders inside one folder and name it after your company.
Right-click that folder (or Control-click it).
Click Compress.
Your .zip appears in the same place, named after the folder.
On Windows
Put your folders inside one folder and name it after your company.
Right-click that folder.
On Windows 11, click Compress to and then ZIP file. On Windows 10, click Send to and then Compressed (zipped) folder.
Your .zip appears alongside the original folder.
Note: Zipping copies your files rather than moving them, so nothing on your computer gets rearranged.
Send it to us
Go to your Blissbook Home page and upload your .zip using the file upload tool. If you have any issues with the upload, email your CSM and they'll send you a link instead.
What happens next
Our content team unpacks your .zip and imports each document, then builds your handbook to match your branding. You'll get a preview to review before anyone in your audience sees it.
One thing worth knowing: we start building once all of your content is with us, so a document still sitting with your legal team holds up the rest. If something is going to be late, send everything else and tell your CSM what's outstanding. If you'd rather not wait on that last document, ask your CSM about launching what's ready and adding the rest in a second pass.
While you're waiting, your CSM can get you moving on the other pieces of setup, including your employee list and the tasks on your Setup Checklist.
