Automate access to your documents by setting up an automated sync of your employee list via your HRIS, Payroll, or AD platform.

Blissbook can automatically sync your employees and other people from 40+ different HRIS or AD platforms. If you're interested in setting that up (head's up: there's a small fee), please contact our sales team at support@blissbook.com. Once you've reached out, we'll work with you to guide you through the setup process. Our team will ensure everything is configured correctly to meet your specific needs.

Our integration supports the following HRIS platforms:

ADP Workforce Now, AlexisHR, Altera Payroll, BambooHR, Breathe, Ceridian Dayforce, Charlie, ChartHop, ClayHR, Deel, Factorial, Freshteam, Gusto, Hibob, HR Cloud, HR Partner, Humaans, IntelliHR, JumpCloud, Justworks, Kallidus, Lano, Lucca, Namely, Nmbrs, Officient, Paychex, Paycor, PayFit, Paylocity, PeopleHR, Personio, Proliant, Sage HR, Sesame, Square Payroll, TriNet, TriNet HR Platform, UKG Pro, UKG Pro Workforce Management, UKG Ready, and Workday.

We also support these ADs (Active Directories):

Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID (fka Azure AD), Okta, and OneLogin.

Several other platforms are coming soon or are available now in Beta:

Humi, Insperity Premier, IRIS Cascade, Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), Paycom, Planday, PingOne, Remote, Sage People, SAP SuccessFactors, and Zoho People.

Integrations in beta have been tested extensively but have yet to be widely adopted. If you use one of these platforms, let us know and we'll test it out together.

Get Started

Once you've reached out to our team and have been given access to the HRIS integration feature, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the side nav and switch to the Employee List Sync section.

  2. Within the purple box, click "Connect your HRIS"

  3. Select Your Integration:

    • In the screen that pops up, search for your HRIS integration by typing its name in the search bar.

    • Click the button for your HRIS once you find it.

  4. Follow On-Screen Instructions:

    • Click "Continue" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the synchronization process.

    • For many HRIS syncs, additional detailed instructions are available. If you encounter any issues, click the link that says "Stuck? See detailed instructions with screenshots" to access a more comprehensive help article.

Since you've already contacted us to set this up, we will be aware of your request and can guide you through the setup process. Our support team is ready to assist at every step.

Custom Fields

If you have any custom fields that you want to bring over, just let our team know, and we will set that up for you. Examples of custom fields include:

  • Pay rate type

  • Exempt status

  • Union code

  • Location code (including special location codes)

  • Entity code

  • and many more

Which HRIS and Payroll platforms do you support?

Do you support Active Directories as well?

Yes. See above.

How often do you sync employees?

Once per day. The exact timing varies per day.

Is there an additional cost to enabling the auto sync service?

Yes. This additional service starts at $185 and increases for customers syncing more than 100 employees. Contact us for pricing.

Is the cost to turn this on due to Blissbook doing the integration work?

Somewhat. We will assist you with your integration setup and sometimes that takes time depending on the HRIS/AD platform you’re using. We will help you resolve any errors or issues that come up either with your connection or within your data itself. You’re basically getting a free audit of your employee data as a part of this service!

The majority of the cost here covers our internal engineering cost to buy and build the ability to create & maintain advanced HRIS integrations with all of the different HRIS/AD platforms our customers use.

We're already syncing users manually or via SFTP. Will this integration replace all of our existing employees?

Yes! If you are already syncing employees and have a launched document, we will first set up a test account for you. Once everyone is syncing successfully to your test account, we will adjust any group or field names in your existing account, then we'll migrate the text sync over.

Will this sync the data in a way that will add new hires to the handbooks we need and then also terminate them when they leave the company?

Yup! To automate the sending of an invitation email, you will have to have that setting ON within your organization.

Will this integration also remove users once someone has left the company?

Yup!

We actually have 2 separate companies/entities using our [HRIS]. We would like the auto sync to only import [company1] employees. Can we narrow the scope based on the company/entity someone belongs to?

Yup! After the initial sync runs, you can set up an exclusion list to keep certain people out of your official “Employees” list in Blissbook. You can even use custom fields to do this.

We have consultants/contractors/contingent workers. We would like the scope to not include them as well. Is there a way to exclude from the scope based on employment type?

Yup! You can set up exclusions based on any of the data we receive, including custom fields.

We often add new employees to our HRIS before their actual hire date. Can you exclude these people and only sync them over on their actual hire date?

Yup! You will just set up an exclusion based on Last Hired Date and exclude everyone whose Last Hired Date is less than 0 days ago.

What filters do we have an option of using? The reason I ask is we have numerous custom fields in HRIS that may not be standard.

You can sync any and all of the data from your HRIS, including non-standard custom fields. Default fields include things like Work State, Work Country, Home State, FLSA Status, Pay Period, Worker Type (FT, PT, etc.) and more. You can tell us the custom groups you'd like ahead of time, or we can tackle it after the initial sync. You just tell our team what you want and we’ll get the data in there.
