You may find yourself with certain people who are in Blissbook, or in the audience of a document, or being asked to sign, that you don't want in there any more. You may be thinking that you want to archive or delete them from somewhere, but usually you want to filter them out or exclude them before they get to the place that you don't want them.

There are multiple opportunities to filter people out of the funnel from HRIS/AD/Payroll system down through to a signature round on a document:

1) Exclude from your employee list in Blissbook altogether

Setting up a filter at this level will exclude people from Blissbook altogether. They will not have an account at all. There are a few options depending on how you're syncing people:

2) Sync people to Blissbook, but exclude them from a document's audience

In this scenario, the person or people will still have a Blissbook account, but they'll be removed from the audience of whichever document(s) you choose to remove them from. They can retain access to other documents or, if you're using our automated manager escalation functionality, they will still have access to a manager dashboard, even if they don't have access themselves to any documents.

A document audience (see screenshot above) is either everyone in your org, or if you toggle that OFF, it's nobody in your org + specific individuals, groups, or segments that you add.

If you want to exclude someone, you will need to create a segment that's set up as an exclusion, then add that segment to the audience.

For example, if you want to exclude part-time employees from the audience of a document, you will go to your Employees page, set up a filter to filter out part-time employees, then save that as a segment. Then, in your document's audience, toggle OFF everyone in your org and add this segment.

You can see in this example that we've effectively excluded 1 person from the audience of the document.

3) Exclude someone from a signature round

In this scenario, the user will be able to view your document(s), but they will not be a part of your signature round.

Please reach out to us via support@blissbook.com and we can help you edit your existing signature round to exclude people. We can base exclusions on email addresses, groups, saved segments, or custom fields.

4) Retain access to everything, but just stop sending automated reminders

You can exclude or turn off automated reminders for any single user. Go to their employee card, click the Actions dropdown, and choose the option to disable automated reminders.
